On Pain And Presence (ab 18 Jahren)

Felix Ruckert and Lara Martelli are masters of the sensual and daring game of control and the loss thereof, of shame and pride, aggression and mildness, unlimited fear and blind trust. Astrid Endruweit

Frau mit Kuchen

„Hammer the high striker, until the blood spurts with a ding!“, said Astrid Endruweit’s grandmother and swallowed the last piece of cake ever. But futile is the search for solace and satisfaction with sweets when basic emotional needs have not been stilled. In a first video, radiant Beauty Poses shot seven years ago for a future lover (to show him what he had missed), to emotional outbursts documented on film, up to sophisticated scenes paired with footage of six men who each perform a unique dance in their own living rooms: Astrid Endruweit plays several roles and ages with an unbearable and laughable fear of dying before ever having given birth.

Every afternoon of Tanznacht choreographers will invite interested audience members to come on stage and go through the choreography of the previous evening, in the flesh, step by step.

Today, Jeremy Wade  takes the audience by the hand and leads them through Throwing Rainbows Up.

Tanznacht in den UFO Hallen

Young adults from the Wedding neighborhood have occupied the big Halle 660 since the opening of the tanznacht berlin 08. In the four days and nights they attended shows, workshops or concerts and met with artists and the public. They went to see what was there; if it wasn’t there, they created it themselves. And will show that today.

Urheben Aufheben (UA)

"In the reconstruction of "Affectos Humanos" (1962) by Dore Hoyer it was never my intent to create the illusion of an original. Instead, what was important was the discovery and also production of the new in confrontation with the old. In the process the new title Urheben Aufheben [wordplay: German heben = to lift; Urheber = author, copyright holder; Aufheben = to pick up, to store or keep, to nullify] could mean three different things: first, something that was once created is picked up from the depths of history; second, something once picked up in the past is then stored or kept; and finally Urheben Aufheben could mean that the idea of authorship is suspended or eliminated completely." (Martin Nachbar)

Denn

„Last summer I went to the circus with my nephew and saw a horse show. The animal trainer stood next to the horse and drew small circles in the air with his whip while the horse bowed and rotated. I searched for the connection between the trainer and a horse that could apparently follow the whip’s mysterious language. (…) I made the trainer disappear in my imagination and let the horse appear alone on the dance floor. The horse was suddenly in a dialogue with something outside of itself – but with something that was clearly rooted within the horse itself. The horse had turned into its own trainer.“ (Laurent Chétouane)

Adom Modulations (Neufassung)

"At first ADOM was a sketch that developed from one show to the next. A specific quality of movement between the two bodies and the floor crystallized over time. However, I never found a "real" ending. ADOM Modulations revises the original questions and simultaneously allows me to reconnect to them and develop them further."
