Movement Of The Soul – Constellation & Choreography (for all levels)

„Based on systemic techniques, we use constellation techniques as a useful model to find deep and meaningful relationships between elements, characters, figures or participants of any given choreography, piece, play or performance. Through perceptual awareness of other human beings within a given group, we develop an insight of the underlying processes, that guide and govern this systems flux of change.“ (Krisana Locke & Ali von Stein)

Astrid Endruweit

Frau mit Kuchen

„Hammer the high striker, until the blood spurts with a ding!“, said Astrid Endruweit’s grandmother and swallowed the last piece of cake ever. But futile is the search for solace and satisfaction with sweets when basic emotional needs have not been stilled. In a first video, radiant Beauty Poses shot seven years ago for a future lover (to show him what he had missed), to emotional outbursts documented on film, up to sophisticated scenes paired with footage of six men who each perform a unique dance in their own living rooms: Astrid Endruweit plays several roles and ages with an unbearable and laughable fear of dying before ever having given birth.

Show and Tell is a widespread learning tool in the U.S. Children bring an object to school that is important to them and explain its meaning to the class. Every afternoon of Tanznacht choreographers will invite interested audience members to come on stage and go through the choreography of the previous evening, in the flesh, step by step.

Today, Colette Sadler takes the audience by the hand and leads them through The MAking Of Doubt.

Jess Curtis & Maria Scaroni

The Symmetry Project

The American Jess Curtis and the Italian Maria Scaroni have done body research with The Symmetry Project. It is based on a simple principle of movement: only symmetrical movement of extremities and body axes are allowed. Since the beginning of November Curtis & Scaroni have sent out numerous appeals for people to pass on this symmetrical principle from body to body to achieve a snowball effect. At 6:00 pm they will await all participants to take part in a large open-air performance in the courtyard of the Uferhallen.

Jeremy Wade

Throwing Rainbows Up

„We seek to reroute the nervous system by exhausting the language of the body. Embedding it in a passion that obliterates social, emotional and physical habit through laughter, disgust and pain. At the end of the road blazes a different language that is generating and destroying itself constantly in every utterance: Reaching a higher level and installing a presence that lies beyond the communicable.“ (Jeremy Wade)

Christina Ciupke & Nik Haffner (Uraufführung)

Dealing With Life

A cupboard, a table, a chair: in their new duo “dealing with life,” Christina Ciupke and Nik Haffner deal primarily with the things of life.  They move through veritable furnishings of small stories and big emotions.  A mix of physical drama, slapstick, gestural dance and silent film scenes plays with the cultural memory of the audience.  After their first joint production “Subtitles” (2006), they now investigate the interplay of language and physical action anew.

TWO FISH

Progressive Negative Capability

"I mean negative capability, that is when man is capable of being in uncertainties, mysteries, doubts, without any irritable reaching after fact & reason." (John Keats, 1817) The latest TWO FISH production poses the question: when people meet people, people meet locations or people meet contexts, do points exist where empathy and resistance coincide? In their tenth common work with movement and language, TWO FISH research, name and demonstrate their latest "interactionalternatives".
